Two more NGBs partner with UK Coaching to help coaches access essential learning

British Cycling and Swim England are the latest governing bodies of sport to partner with UK Coaching to provide all their affiliated coaches with discounted access to UK Coaching’s learning and development platform – ukcoaching.org.

The enhanced website was specifically designed for coaches wanting to access innovative learn-at-home courses and resources.

British Cycling’s Head of Education Simon Hibbert, said:

We are constantly looking to evolve our continuing development offer for coaches and volunteers and UK Coaching has a wealth of resources and expertise that we know will have a positive impact on the delivery of cycling activity.

“We are pleased to extend our partnership with UK Coaching to be able to give discounted access for our coaches and volunteers, which we hope people will engage with during this unprecedented period to enable them to come back stronger, when we can all cycle again.

“We look forward to collaborating with UK Coaching to develop further opportunities for our learners in the future.”

Swim England’s Head of Membership Development Gabriella Hay, said:

Swim England is delighted to be working with UK Coaching to offer exclusive and unique content to keep our coaches engaged and upskilled through this challenging time.

“We are working hard to ensure our coaches still have access to the relevant knowledge and skills to operate confidently and competently, so that they can meet the wants, needs and dreams of the people they coach.”

UK Coaching’s Policy and Partnership Manager Craig Blain, said:

We are proud to have British Cycling and Swim England as partners so that our learning and development support can reach all their coaches, leaders and volunteers across their club, community and elite networks.

“Great coaching is the catalyst for creating happier, healthier and more active communities. We are here for the coach so that they feel confident and capable of providing great coaching experiences for everyone.”
