Curious Coaches' Club: Open Webinar

Join our experts every Monday for an engaging and insightful online coaching discussion

Each week we will be holding a conversation about a particular coaching topic that we know is important to coaches and one that many would like to learn more about.

What are the things that separate good coaches from great coaches?

Well, we know that one of those elements is curiosity; it is the urge you feel to know more about something.

Alongside this is the knowledge that the more we learn and find out, the more we realise we don’t actually know as much as we thought! This is where the Curious Coaches' Club comes in.

The Curious Coaches' Club will have three parts to it:

  1. Watch ‘A Conversation About…’ between expert coaches live on a Monday or watch on-demand via UKCoaching.org.
  1. Engage and take part in a more in-depth conversation about the topic on Wednesday or Thursday via smaller informal gatherings of coaches hosted by one of our team. Book on one of the Community of Practice webinars here, although note that, to attend a session, you must have attended the live webinar or watched it ‘on demand’ via UKCoaching.org.
  1. Continue the conversation via ConnectedCoaches – our free online community for coaches of all sports and activities.

Join our experts for this week’s coaching conversation and get involved.

Website bookings for Monday's session will close at 11.59pm on Sunday.

Please note, webinars will be recorded to make content available for other learners on demand.

14 April: Developing People (Developing Yourself, Developing Athletes) (14:15-15:15)

Do you sometimes struggle to find time to put your thoughts into actions? We know it can be a real challenge for all of us! This session will give you some ideas that could help solve this and provide you with some examples and strategies for practically developing yourself and your athletes. We will explore a reframe of the classic ‘Plan, Do, Review’ approach and how to turn those thoughts into reality.

Join UK Coaching’s Senior Coach Developer, Tom Hartley (also current Premier League Academy football coach) and Coach Developer - Talent, Alan Rapley (ex-Olympic Swimmer and former Head of Coaching at Fulham FC) to explore this topic; bringing real life examples, using simple templates to self-reflect and plan, connect with other coaches and expand your network to utilise critical friends. This webinar will actively utilise this ‘pause’ to hit the ground running when all our coaching kicks off again.

20 April: Coaching Craft (14:15-15:15)
