The Inclusive Activity Programme workshop is a 3-hour practical session, led by an expert tutor.

It has been designed to enable learners to explore, through a range of practical activities, how to:

  • create an inclusive environment
  • plan and deliver inclusive sessions using a person-centred approach
  • apply appropriate principles to adapt activities, ensuring inclusion and progression of all participants
  • use creative ideas to support disabled people to access physical activity and sport.

We will:

  • provide a tutor to deliver the workshop
  • provide the accompanying learning materials
  • enrol your learners on the eLearning module, dashboard and Programme Hub
  • send you and your delegates confirmation of the session, including all logistical information
  • email your learners their certificates after the event.

Here are the things you will need to do to ensure your learners have an enjoyable experience.

Book a venue We require a room with enough space for practical activity to take place. We recommend a space at least the size of two badminton courts (14x15m). All venues must be accessible for all participants, including those who may have additional needs (e.g. wheelchair users). Where possible, a room with WiFi connectivity would be preferable. Please supply the login and password details to the tutor, where applicable.
Provide relevant equipment Please provide chairs or benches for learners to sit on (tables are not required). If possible, a selection of physical activity equipment (e.g. different sized balls, markers and bats), as well as a flipchart/paper, pens, and internet access would be beneficial.
Send us your list of delegates (at least 7 working days before the session) This will enable us to give your learners free eLearning access.
Communicate with your learners and take bookings We will market the event on our site if you want us to, but you will also need to invite your people or advertise the event through your own communications. You will need to make sure it’s easy for people to book on the event and you will need to take any appropriate payment.
