Coach Developer Conversations (EP 2): Karen Roberts – A Judo Journey

Performance Projects Manager at British Judo Karen Roberts discusses her journey into the role of coach developer and the experiences that have shaped how she works.

In episode two of the Coach Developer Conversations podcast series, UK Coaching’s Coaching Manager Andy Bradshaw asks Karen about her background and how she got to her current performance role. At what point did coach development come into it? How and why did that become relevant to her? Like many coaches, the London Olympics shaped a large part of her career, and Karen discusses the fallout from that and how looking at coaches rather than at athletes gave her a fresh direction of travel.
